Pass the Copenhagen Climate Bill Now

Members of Parliament have been debating Bill C-311, the Climate Change Accountability Act.

Bill C-311 will ensure that Canada commits to science-based targets for reducing greenhouse gas emissions, following recommendations of the Nobel Prize-winning Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.

A critical vote will be held on October 21. Members of Parliament have a choice: they can delay this bill, or support the swift passage of this crucial legislation.

We are urging MP’s to vote NO to additional time at the committee, and vote YES for the bill at Third Reading. We have waited long enough.

Please contact Members of Parliament to urge them to pass Bill C-311 as soon as possible. They have an historic opportunity and responsibility to pass a climate plan before the talks in Copenhagen.
