BP was found to be reckless and responsible for the Deepwater Horizon spill in the Gulf of Mexico. The 2010 spill resulted in the deaths of 11 oil workers and 30 million gallons of oil from the BP spill remain in the Gulf — the equivalent of nearly three Exxon Valdez spills. Oil from the spill continues to coat the ocean floor, and the disaster continues to affect fish and wildlife in the area over a decade later.

In sharp contrast to what Canadian pipeline company Enbridge has been telling consumers and policymakers, one of the company’s experts has filed a court document that says gasoline prices will rise less than a penny in Michigan if the Line 5 oil pipeline shuts down.

A striking projection appeared on buildings and other local landmarks in Stavanger on the eve of Equinor’s AGM. The videos featured testimony from Canadians opposing Equinor’s proposed offshore oil project, Bay du Nord, highlighting the risks to marine habitat and the climate.
