The need for a pan-Canadian water strategy in Canada has become extremely urgent. Across the nation, Canadians are recognizing that limits to this seemingly infinite resource exist. Budget fails to protect environment, groups say
Environmentalists say Thursday's federal budget missed an opportunity to create green jobs and took a step backward in protecting the environment.
The budget included a section entitled "Green Jobs and Growth," which included $100 million over the next four years for clean energy technologies and production in the forestry sector.
It also included $80 million in additional incentives for homeowners to make their home more energy-efficient.
Environmental groups say Canada lags behind other countries in these green energy initiatives.

Dishes Pt. 2 : Recycling dish water (Day 3)
Submitted by Celeste Côté on Wed, 2010-03-03 21:51So doing dishes last night took quite some time (30-45 minutes), but only about 1.685 L of water or so, so that's not bad considering the amount (and the quality) of dishes I did.
Overall, I used 10.514 L of water yesterday, even with the dishes! --AND the best part is that I got to recycle 1.89 L of that into my toilet tank to offset when I flush. Recycling water? Yes. Totally. It's called soft path. I'm going to be talking about it a lot this month.
