Pesticide-Free Campaigner
We are looking for an energetic and knowledgeable person to participate in initiatives to ban the use of pesticides in Atlantic Canada.
Sierra Club Atlantic is a member of the Pesticide Free NS Coalition and supports many intitiatves to ban and / or reduce the use of toxic pesticides. In the upcoming months, we need help in encouraging regulations that require advance notice and signage to indicate where and when toxic pesticides are being used in the province.
Tasks associated with this volunteer position include attending regular meetings of Pesticide Free NS and participating in volunteer activities that arise from the meetings, such as outreach, research, and meeting with decision-makers and community leaders. The estimated time allocation is approximately 3-4 hours per month.
