CSNY Freedom of Speech Tour '06
Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young invited Sierra Club of Canada to table at the Canadian dates of their Freedom of Speech Tour '06. Sierra Club of Canada volunteers tabled at the Ottawa and Toronto dates, talking to concert goers about alternatives to the McGuinty government's plan to construct new nuclear power plants in Ontario. CSNY gave SCC 40 free tickets in Toronto, and of the hundreds of groups they support, chose SCC as one of just a dozen links to put on their web site.
Janet, a volunteer with the Ontario Chapter, was at the show and had this to say:
 "What a fabulous evening! Those guys can really rock! I loved the music, the message in the music, and I especially loved the positive life message given by 60-year-old guys delivering an incredibly tight, hard-driving show that brought everyone to their feet.
"Hearing the old protest songs made me realize that over the years people have become much more aware of the world outside our borders. So thank you CSNY for inspiring us 40 years ago and inspiring us and recharging our batteries now when we need you most."
