Commitment in NFS: Accommodate Aboriginal and treaty rights in the sustainable use of the forest recognizing the historical and legal position of Aboriginal Peoples and their fundamental connections to ecosystems.

Number of jointly developed (between government and Aboriginal Peoples) protocols and/or MOUs, at international, federal, provincial and regional levels, which define how Aboriginal interests and rights are accommodated within forest management systems

Number of jointly developed (between logging companies and Aboriginal Peoples) protocols and/or MOUs which define how Aboriginal interests and rights are accommodated within forest management systems

Number and area of co-management initiatives and joint ventures between industry and Aboriginal communities
