Great new product for the environment (yeah!)

We hear a lot of talk about sustainable products, but this week I'd like you to give a unique sustainable product a try.

First think of a mountain made of 134 million laundry detergent jugs (because that’s how many Canadians use every year). Yes, we can recycle them - but wouldn’t it be better to eliminate them completely. Then consider a company with a social conscience that works to support the planet and organizations like ours. A New Brunswick inventor has done just that with a product called Dizolve. I was impressed with the concept so I tried it. It certainly got the job done. It’s great, really.

I'm pleased to report that for the month of October (while supplies last) a 144-load two pack of Dizolve laundry detergent is availble for only $14.99 (with free shipping in Canada). It's budget-friendly and $4 of every two pack sold goes directly to Sierra Club Canada to help fund important programs (like saving the bees). It’s a win-win! You can place an order by phone at 1-855-201-1920 or online here – it will only take a moment.

Laundry detergent is a dirty business

In Canada alone, we wash almost four billion loads of dirty laundry every year. All of those plastic jugs, packaging and shipping to stores have an enormous, unsustainable eco-impact on our atmosphere, environment and (already maxed-out) landfills. Furthermore, most detergents contain harmful ingredients like 1,4-dioxane and don't readily biodegrade in wastewater. It’s a bad situation.

Dizolve detergent, invented and made in Canada, comes in a tiny, pre-measured strip the size of a bookmark that you simply toss in the wash. The strips are made with a patent-pending formula of concentrated eco-friendly cleaning agents and dissolve completely when wet.

A survey of 93% of participants in a 2012 independent study rated Dizolve’s cleaning power “equal to or better than” their usual brand. I can honestly report that I had the same experience.

Dizolve has the smallest eco-footprint

Dizolve uses zero plastic in its packaging and reduces transportation pollution by 94%. If everyone in Canada switched to Dizolve, the annual eco-savings would be enormous, including the elimination of over 100 million plastic jugs and 8.2 million litres of truck fuel used. That’s equivalent to taking 3.2 million cars off the road for a day or planting one million trees. It’s substantial.

The Eco-Impact of Laundry Detergent in Canada

Dizolve is a smart choice for many reasons:

  • 94% smaller/lighter (easy to carry and store)
  • Easy to use: one strip = one load
  • No messy spills or over-dosing waste
  • Readily biodegradable
  • Free of 1,4-dioxane
  • Hypoallergenic

Please help us spread the word by downloading the flyer below and letting your friends and family know that every purchase results in a substantial donation to Sierra Club Canada (we need you now more than ever).

Thanks for your consideration and everything you do for the environment.

Yours sincerely,
