HRM Diverse Walks the Sackville River

Saturday, August 24, 2013

1:00 pm until 3:00 pm

Meet-Up Spot: Old Sackville Road and Lynn Court

HRM Diverse Walks is a monthly walk created for those of us who are interested in learning more about the history and nature in and around the city we call home. This month we will be walking along the Bedford Sackville greenway connector with president of the Sackville Rivers Association, Mr. Walter Regan. A long time advocate of conservation and preservation of the waterway, Mr. Regan will be talking about the river, the watershed, and the work that has been done in the area to preserve this natural treasure. But don't worry, he'll be the only expert on the trail with us, everyone else will be just as eager to learn as you are!

Want to learn more from Walter before the walk? He has provided a video blog for us here. Watch closely for a widlife guest appearance in the background of one of the videos!

The walk will be over gentle terrain and is suitable in both difficulty and content for budding naturalists and historians of all ages.

We will meet at at the intersection of Old Sackville Road and Lynn Court at 1PM. Arrive a bit early to get to know the other participants!

See you on the trail!
