Recap of Erindale Tree Planting

A big thank you to Credit Valley Conservation and everyone who participated in the tree planting on May 31st, 2014 at Erindale Park, Mississauga!

Among nearly 40 attendees were elected councillors and candidates, community members, students, and children who came to learn about nature.  Together, we successfully planted 250 shrubs and trees!  Tree planting and stewardship events are part of our Natural Capital Project.  Natural Capital refers to the value of natural resources and environmental assets and how they contribute to building healthy communities.  The Natural Capital perspective tries to quantify the wide range of free benefits that are provided by these ecological goods and services.

Thank you to all our volunteers for making our communities a little greener and their contribution towards City of Mississauga's One Million Trees goal!

If you are interested in participating in our events this summer, be sure to check the website or subscribe to our Ozone newsletter for more updates.
