Goodness knows we could all do with some good news these days!
Health Canada has announced they are banning one of the most widely-used pesticides in Canada, chlorpyrifos. Health Canada states in its re-evaluation that the companies producing pesticides containing chlorpyrifos "failed to satisfy the data requirements" to allow its continued use.
I hope you will join us in thanking Health Minister Patty Hajdu for listening to the science on chlorpyrifos and to point out that we need to drastically reform the laws and policies that permitted its use - and that of other toxic pesticides - in the first place.
