Sierra Club Ontario (SCO) is a collaborative partner in the Environment and Diversity Project. The SCO is committed to enhancing diversity and inclusion within the organization and in our outreach. The E&D Project is an exciting four-year collaborative initiative led by the Sustainability Network. SCO is one of the six environmental non- profit organizations partnered in this collaborative. As a part of this exciting venture Sierra Club is committed to consider, develop and implement strategies to better reflect and engage under- represented communities. In alliance with the Sustainability Network Sierra Club is working to develop a Diversity Action plan for itself that will result in broader participation and inclusion of non-traditional groups in our environmental work.

Since 2009, SCO is on a journey to imbibe and celebrate diversity. Deepa Hazrati is Sierra Club’s Metcalf Foundation Intern and is currently engaged in developing an evaluation framework and analysis of SCO’s organizational diversity.
