Conservation & circular economy

On both the national and the local level, the Sierra Club Canada Foundation is engaged in promoting ways to live in a sustainable fashion.

We hold tree planting and garbage clean up events, and helped secure an expanded federal ban on plastics to include exports in 2022.

While we recognize the role individuals have to play, our goal is to put the onus back on to governments and industry. We want to see stronger policy on plastics and plastic waste and a shift from throwaway culture to a circular economy.
