Additionally, the mission of our Wild Child programs is to provide child led, play based learning through repeated exposure to nature helping to foster a lasting relationship with the natural world.
Wild Child program brings fun environmental education and encourages staff and children to get outside, play games and age appropriate activities to also learn about their environment and the other critters they share their community with.
Our mission at Sierra Canada
The Sierra Club Canada Foundation (SCCF) is also a national registered charity that includes four chapters: Atlantic, Québec, Ontario, and Prairie. Additionally, there is the Sierra Youth Coalition, a group whose mandate is to empower young people to become community leaders, so don’t wait to find out more about the work of our Chapters.

Our network
At its heart, Sierra Club Canada Foundation is also a grassroots organization with a “think globally, act locally” philosophy. Members are also encouraged to actively contribute to environmental causes that engage or inspire them, in a capacity that best suits their capabilities.
Working with a strong volunteer base and collaboratively with other organizations has allowed Sierra Club Canada Foundation to successfully engage in a range of environmental activities that directly benefit both people and the planet.

Our values
Finally, Sierra Club Canada Foundation is an open, volunteer-led, democratic organization whose work is additionally grounded in the values and principles as expressed through the UN Earth Charter process and document. Formally endorsed by us in June 2002, it is also still the world’s best effort at reaching global consensus on the fundamental values and principles needed for global sustainability.
The UN Earth Charter’s ‘Four Pillars of Sustainability’ are:
